    Description

Bobby Vigus, left, 17, and Richard Dicerson, 17, are members of the National Youth Administration (NYA) cadet safety corps, formed to guard dangerous school crossings in the absence of police officers. They are on duty from 7:45 to 8:45 a.m. and 2:45 to 3:45 p.m. each school day. Bobby and Richard are shown standing against a blank wall, wearing their uniforms. Embroidered onto their uniforms are their initials. The uniforms were presented to members of the corps by the Central Dads Club, which sponsored formation of the safety group.
