Description
The Top o' the Hill Stock Farm near Arlington, Texas is owned by Mrs. Mary G. Browning. Mrs. Browning is in the business of breeding thoroughbreds and race horses. She recently built the new barn, a $15,000 addition. The barn features fireproof steel furnishings. The stalls, gates, and doors are all constructed with steel. Mrs. Browning has twenty mares and a stallion, Royal Ford, quartered at the farm. She plans to later add a half-mile training track east of the barn. There are several horses in the stalls and a pile of hay underneath the loft. Interior photograph of the barn. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition February 01, 1940.
