    Description

The Girls Service League bought the old Winfield Scott Home to use as a home for underprivileged girls. The imposing 18 room structure is situated on Pennsylvania Avenue at the end of a long driveway. The late Mr. Winfield Scott Senior died in 1910 while his home was being furnished and never occupied the extravagant estate.
