Description

Santa Claus in the person of C. H. Wise, paying a visit to the pediatrics ward at Saint Joseph's Hospital. He is shown talking to 11 year old Oma Lee Surber, left, and "Chiquita" Lopez, right. Surber is sitting in a wheelchair, has casts on her legs, and is holding a wrapped present. She is sitting beside Mr. Wise, playing Santa, who is holding a doll and leaning towards Lopez, 6, who is receiving treatment for a bone ailment and has spent most of her life at the hospital. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition, December 24 1940.
