Description

The annual winners of the Fire Prevention Essay Contest are being awarded checks. The contest is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce and the Fort Worth Insurance Underwriters Association. David Sellers, far left, standing, is congratulating the winners. The winners are, left to right, seated, Betty Jean Estes and Beryl Nowlin, and, standing, Mary Foulks and Lucille Queen. Mr. Sellers is the coordinator of curriculum and fire prevention chairman for the Fort Worth, Texas, public schools. He is dressed in a double breasted suit. Betty Jean is a seventh grade student at William James Junior High School. She is wearing a polka-dot, button-up dress. Beryl is a sixth grader at E. M. Daggett Elementary. She is dressed in a button-up blouse and a jacket. Mary is a junior at Paschal High School. She is dressed in a button-up blouse and a skirt. Lucille is a freshman at Polytechnic High School. She is wearing a dress.
