A check for $50 was presented to The Star-Telegram Goodfellows fund Wednesday by J. K. Bumpass, vice president of Local No. 440 of the International Association of Firefighters, as the annual contribution of Fort Worth firement to the Christmas cheer fund. The check is pictured here. It shows the name of payee, amount of money, date (December 15, 1940), name of the bank (First National Bank, Fort Worth, Texas) and 'Donation Christmas Cheer fund'. This check is signed by the President, Secretary-Treasurer of Fort Worth Fire Fighters Association. Published in The Star-Telegram evening edition, December 19, 1940.
