Description

The Barretts and the Brownings, as they appeared when they entertained guests at the Etta Newby Club's "Browning Dinner" in Anna Shelton Hall at the Woman's Club. The cast of "An Evening With Browning," are, left to right, (standing) Mr. Joseph Strawn (as Laurence Moulton Barrett), Mrs. A. D. Roberts (as Henrietta Barrett), Mr. Joseph Wills Junior (as Robert Browning) and Mr. J. J. Patterson (as Charles Moulton Barrett); (seated) Miss Jane Ferguson (as Anabel Barrett), Patty Ann Patterson (as Patty Barrett) and Mrs. Harry B. Friedman (as Elizabeth Barrett Browning). The women are dressed in long gowns of varying fabrics with lace details. They are also wearing bonnets. The men are wearing suits. At the far left, in the background, is a piano.
