Description
Irene Harris has been named Tarrant County's number one 4-H girl for 1940. Some of the traits that won her the honor was her schoolwork, household skills, sewing ability, and carpentry. Irene is a senior and honor student at Haslet High School and especially enjoys studying history. Some of her hobbies include making candles, sewing curtains, and redecorating old rocking chairs. She also finds the time to design and make her own dresses. Irene is pictured at her desk during history class, reading from the textbook. She is dressed in a collared blouse, sweater, and trousers.
