    Description

    The Elks Club-Salvation Army is participating in the "Mile of Dimes" movement to provide apparel for needy boys and girls. A contribution of fifteen dollars in dimes is being added by Local Number 440 of the International Association of Firefighters. Pictured left to right are J. K. Bumpass and Herschel Stine. Mr. Bumpass is the vice president of firemen's union. He is wearing his uniform-- a peaked cap and a double breasted suit. Mr. Stine is the chairman of the "Dimes" program. He is dressed in a double breasted pinstripe suit. An automobile is blurred in the background as it passes by.
