Description
Two scenes which made history today at the Tarrant County courthouse. One of them is election of George M. Conner, Fort Worth attorney, elected judge of Seventeenth District Court. Second, is Deputy Sheriff Bill Parr, bailiff, proclaiming the election, conducted by the Tarrant County Bar. He has his hand cuffed to mouth as he makes the announcement. He is standing on the courthouse steps with a hug base and marble pillars shown behind him. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, December 2, 1940.
