Description
Bill Bonnell is one of hundreds of volunteers manning "emergency networks" to maintain communication between Amarillo, Texas, and the outside world. Amarillo was hit with the "Great Ice Storm," knocking out power and the water supply. Mr. Bonnell is an American Airlines pilot and an amateur radio operator. He is shown taking a break during a lull, to grab something to eat and drink. Mr. Bonnell is sitting at his amateur radio set, dressed in a button-up shirt and trousers.
