When Santa Arrived Month Early. Santa Claus arrived a month early for Mrs. C.W. Alworth, Ranger, right, as she received a $500 check. Mrs. Alworth was second prize winner in the $25,000 national Spry contest. Mrs. Alworth says she plans to use the $500 to brighten Christmas for a number of her friends. Mrs. C. W. Alworth, Ranger, Texas, shown receiving $500.00 check from O. B. French, sales supervisor for Lever Brothers. George F. Bunt city salesman for Fort Worth, Texas, for Lever Brothers Manufacturing Company, is in the center. Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Evening Edition November 26, 1940.
