James is resting both hands on top of the desk. A hat is sitting in front of him. A 'Travelers Aid' globe lamp, telephone, and a book are on the desk. Miss Sidebottom is an executive secretary of the Travelers Aid Society. James is an orphan from Buffalo New York. He has been aided by the Travelers Aid Society since January 1. He met Miss Sidebottom in a railway station. He is happy, waiting until he becomes 17 on December 10 so he can join the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, November, 1940.
