    Description

    1940 Armistice Day parade showing the float entered by the Bothwell Kane Post no. 21, American Legion bears a huge American flag made of red, white and blue celephane and a banner that reads "We are proud to be Americans." There are men, women and children on the float. The parade stopped for a minute at 11 am for the men to face west and salute in honor of the World War dead. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, November 11, 1940.
