Description

Southern Methodist University versus Texas A & M University football game. Marion Pugh, Texas A & M, extreme right, throwing a pass to Bill Buchanan, number sixty-seven. Here is one of the day's most important plays in the Aggie - S.M.U. game. It's the Pugh - Buchanan pass that set off the Aggie drive to their first touchdown in the first quarter. On first down and with the ball on the S.M.U. 34-yard line, the Fort Worth boy heaved a beautiful pass to Bill Buchanan, who took the ball away from three Mustangs on the 23-yard line and charged on to the 13. A photograph of the players on the field and the bleachers in the distance are full of people. Star-Telegram Morning November 10, 1940
