The women are, from left to right, Maxine Shaw, Texas Christian University (TCU) band queen for the Baylor-TCU game; June Jameson, Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) sponsor at North Side High School, and Hortense Walker, Texas Wesleyan College (TWC) football queen. Mayor McCrary The Mayor is dressed in suits and ties. Three cadet sponsors are selling "Buddy" poppy to Mayor for war veterans with disabilities, and receiving three contributions for one poppy.
