Description
Texas Christian University (TCU) vs. Baylor University football game. Kyle Gillespie, who lies buried beneath a stack of Baylor Bears in the center of the picture, attempted a quick kick, but was blocked by his own player. Leonard Pugh, wearing number twenty-nine for Texas Christian University, recovered the loose ball; however, since the ball went past the line of scrimmage, Baylor gained possession. Most of the players on the field are visible in this shot, along with three referees; all of whom are wearing their respective uniforms. Star-Telegram Morning, November 5 1940.
