Left to right, Tom Swiley, Maxine Shaw, Brownwood, Texas, band sweetheart for Texas Christian University band, and Don Gillis, Texas Christian University band director. Swiley is wearing his band uniform with a long-sleeved shirt adorned with beads, large belt, and tall hat with a feather in the cap while holding a baton. Shaw is wearing a dress and carrying a large bouquet in front of herself. Mr. Gillis is wearing a uniform with a jacket, tie, glasses, and hat a line of band members stand behind them on the field and a crowd of spectators fills the stands in the background.
