Howard Payne rooters here for the Texas Wesleyan College (T.W.C -Yellow Jacket football game. Shown here is June Ann Sewell, four year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Sewell, Brownwood, Texas as she listens to Robert Nevans play the bass horn. Mr. Nevans is wearing a band uniform and hat and sitting on a couch playing the horn while Sewell stands on the couch with her ear to the bell of the horn and her right hand to her ear. Sewell is wearing skirt and a long-sleeved shirt with a ribbon pinned to it. A painting hangs behind them. Star-Telegram Morning, November 3 1940.
