Fort Worth, Texas, mayor, I. N. McCrary, left, is greeting the Safest Driver in Texas - Benjamin Franklin Hardy. Mr. Hardy, of Waco, Texas, has been a truck driver for 28 years. He has traveled more than 2,000,000 miles without an accident. His official record, however, is 1,350,000 miles complied over a period of 15 years with one company. Mayor McCrary is dressed in a three-piece suit and is smoking a cigar. Mr. Hardy is wearing a peaked cap, button-up shirt with the Central Freight Lines logo, necktie, suspenders, and trousers.
