    Fifteen Riverside High School students are charter members of the chess club which was recently organized under the sponsorship of Mrs. Alberta Cunningham, a science teacher. Officers of the club include Cliff Whitehead (left), president, and Gerald Richardson, reporter. Cliff Whitehead is wearing a long-sleeve shirt and suspenders; Gerald Richardson is wearing a collared shirt and he has a pen in his left breast pocket. They are standing next to each other against a plain wall. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 27, 1940.
