Mr. and Mrs. D. R. Carter of Saint Joseph, Missouri, pictured during their visit to Fort Worth, Texas, to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Mr. Carter, 83, worked with a team on grading jobs for the Texas and Pacific Railway when it was being built to Fort Worth. Mrs. Carter, 67, is wearing a dress that has a white lace collar and a sailor hat. Mr. Carter is wearing a suit with a vest, striped shirt, a tie, and a hat. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 24, 1940.
