    Description

An above ground silo on the farm of T. E. Evans at Gomer, Iowa. The silo is made of picket fence lined with heavy building paper with bales of hay tightly packed around it. This type is silo is used by corn belt farmers rather than trench silos because of the heavy rainfall in the area. At the far left is a farmhouse.
