These Texas Wesleyan College students model the latest fashion trends for the college campus in a show sponsored by Washer Brothers, 7:30 pm on October 21 at the college. The models pose on the stage arm in arm. Left to right: Mary Baker, Fort Worth, Texas freshman in a red and black Scotch wool plaid dress with black and red Scotsman's felt; Wayne Smith, Morton, Texas senior in a tobacco brown suit with diagonal stripes for town wear; Mary Kathryn Stiles, Annona, Texas senior in a white "timmie-tuft" coat with red lining and detachable hood worn over red shirtmaker dress; Jack Thornton, Gatesville, Texas senior in blue and gray Glenurquhart plaid suit, and Jeane Thompson, Fort Worth, Texas sophomore in a Coronado gold two-piece rabbits' hair wool with jacket fastened in semi-material frogs. All of the ladies are wearing dresses below the knee, hats, and heels. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 20, 1940.
