These muleteers, who will care for a boatload of the Texas animals from New Orleans, Louisiana, to Turkey, are shown preparatory to leaving Fort Worth, Texas. Front row, left to right: C. E. Smith, Clarence Lewis, L. L. Hooker, C. A. Ward, Halbert Teague, P. D. Brodie and C. C. Pyle. Back row, left to right: C. W. Gibson, R. A. Nichols, B. M. Bennett, Joe H. Love, N. W. Bast, J. W. Wellmaker and R. H. Smith. The front row is squatting and the back row is standing. Some men have three-piece suits, while others have cardigan sweaters and jackets on. Most men have on a fedora hat. Behind them is a brick building and a row of cars.
