Description
A mortgage burning was held at Will Rogers Memorial Coliseum for the Forest Park Zoo's baby elephant, Penny. R. E. Harding of the Fort Worth National Bank put the $2,000 note he held on Penny into the fire. He kept a copy to be framed and hung in the elephant house at the zoo. Mr. Harding said it was probably the only elephant mortgage in history. Mr. Harding is wearing a three piece suit. A young man is standing in the background dressed in a boy scout uniform.
