    Golfers from all over the United States are at the Colonial Country Club, hoping to qualify for the Texas Women's Open Tournament. Among those competing are left to right Mrs. R. L. Bowen, and Mrs. Helen Hicks Harb. Mrs. Bowen is from Fort Worth, Texas. She is wearing a hat, button-up blouse and a skirt. Mrs. Harb, is a professional golfer from Long Island, New York. She is wearing a hat and a button-up dress with a belt around her waist. Mrs. Harb is a former National Champion. Later in 1950 with a group of thirteen women, she found the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA). Published Fort Worth Star-Telegram Morning Edition October 14, 1940.
