Description
Elizabeth Hicks is not only a good golfer -- she's consistent! After beating women's par by six strokes in a practice round, she stepped out Monday and won the medal in qualifying for the Texas Women's open tournament at Colonial Club. Miss Hick is shown swinging an iron from the middle of the fairway. She is wearing a button-up blouse, skirt, and golf shoes. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 15, 1940.
