Description

When Registration Procedure Was Rehearsed -- Two Deputy County Clerks Bob White, and Van Renfro are demonstrating what Tarrant County's twenty thousand to twenty-five thousand (20, 000 to 25, 000) young men of draft age will do next Wednesday when they register for service with Uncle Sam's armed forces. They rehearsed the registration procedure Thursday night at Paschal High School for 1,000 (one thousand) chief registrars and their assistants in an instruction meeting. White is the prospective trainee, Renfro the registrar. Two Deputy Clerks are pictured here. They are sitting at a table left to right Van Renfro and Bob White. Both men are dressed in suits. Bob has eyeglasses. There is a microphone in front of the table carrying their questions and answers to the audience. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, October 11, 1940.
