Description
Four female students of Polytechnic High School received their Sam Browne belts to designate them as Reserve Officers' Training Corps (R. O. T. C.) sponsors. The students are, left to right, Miss Frances Pless, sponsor of Company C; Miss Evelyn Hall, Company B; Miss Virginia Thaxton, Company A; and Miss Eleanor Balthrop, faculty sponsor. The sponsors were elected by votes cast by each company of cadets. They are standing in front of a large crowd of students gathered in front of the school.
