    Description

A group of Mrs. Pearl C. Newsom's first graders from Charles E. Nash School visited the Forest Park Zoo. The twenty three children are the newest members of the Baby Elephant Club and were thrilled to see the Zoo's newest addition. The baby elephant doesn't yet have a permanent name. Until then, most people are calling her "Cutie Pie." Zookeeper Hamilton Hittson is shown feeding Cutie Pie while the children watch from behind a chain-link fence. Most of the children climbed the fence and are hanging on the top rung.
