The W. C. Stripling Junior High School Reserve Officer's Training Corps (R.O.T.C.) sponsors are standing in the doorway. They are left to right, Phyllis Ann Nichols, Mrs. Ben Banks, faculty sponsor, Sarah Dewees, and Donna Caldwell. All of the sponsors are sporting the R.O.T.C. belt, sash, and pins. Phyllis Ann is wearing a gingham button-up dress. Mrs. Banks is wearing a collared dress. Sarah is dressed in a collared blouse and a pleated skirt. Donna is dressed in a button-up blouse and a checkered skirt. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram, evening edition, October 7, 1940.
