By airplane and ambulance sports fans converged on Texas Christian University Stadium to witness the inaugural Southwest Conference game between the Horned Frogs of Texas Christian University (TCU) vs. University of Arkansas. pictured here are spectators George Farrell, Albany, Texas and Miss Neva Bradford getting refreshments during halftime. Mr. Farrell is wearing a suit, tie, and hat, while Miss Bradford is wearing a dress, necklace, and hat. They are both holding a hot dog in their left hands and a soda in their right. Miss Bradford is also holding a rolled up paper under her left arm. Star-Telegram Morning, October 6 1940.
