Here is one of the brightest stars on the Texas Christian University (TCU) freshman team which opens its season in Farrington Field against North Texas Agricultural College (N. T. A. C.). Shown here is football player J. T. Webb of Big Lake, Texas, a most promising passer, punter and runner. Webb is wearing his uniform with a jersey with the number 20 on it over his shoulder pads, padded pants, cleats, and a helmet. He is standing on a football field with a football in his right hand, leaning back and prepared to throw the ball. Star-Telegram Evening, October 7 1940.
