Harvey Cornell, left, Santa Fe, New Mexico, regional landscape architect of the National Park Service, and Tommy Reynolds, Austin, Texas, administrative assistant of the State Parks Boards, study shore lines for 67-mile long lake in the Brazos River Valley. They are facing the horizon and both holding on to a map as reference. They are part of the enthusiasts who that inspected part of nearly 7,000 acres which the Brazos Conservation and Reclamation District deeded to the State Parks Board. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, September 22, 1940.
