    Second Lieutenant David E. Williams, son of Mr. and Mrs. D. E. Williams, San Antonio, and cousin of Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Harris, Fort Worth, has been awarded the Air Medal for combat service over Europe as a Thunderbolt pilot in the 9th Air Force. He had flown 42 combat missions by V-E Day. Williams is wearing his uniform in portrait photograph. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, July 6, 1945.
