Mrs. Mildred Mae Johnson holds a Japanese war bond her husband, Technical Sergeant (Tech. Sgt.) J. N. Johnson, United States Marine Corps (USMC), captured on Saipan. She is wearing a necklace of pikaka shells and is shown with several souvenirs from the Pacific. Published in The Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, April 6, 1945.
