Considered TCU's "Iron Men", left to right, Bob Ruff, Left Halfack; Merle Gibson, Left End and Harry Mullins, Right End, all standing on the field side by side in their football uniform. They play the Oklahoma Aggies in Monday's Cotton Bowl. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, December 31, 1944.
