Captain (Capt.) Jack Scott Sargent. Shown is a copy of his portrait photograph. A man is wearing goggles and an aviator hat. Captain (Capt.) Sargent, pilot of a 9th Air Force Havoc light bomber, has been awarded the Air Medal with seven clusters. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Sargent. He was described to Flem Hall, war correspondent of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram as "one of the best darned pilots in the The European Theater of Operations (ETO)." He was promoted to captain last September. Published in Fort Worth Star-Telegram morning edition, October 31, 1944.
