She is a graduate of Texas Christian University (TCU), and a reporter for the Star-Telegram. She is carrying on the family tradition of journalism. Her father is a professor and head of the journalism department at Texas Christian University (TCU). Her brother Paul is director of the news bureau at Illinois Institute of Technology.
