The Masonic Home's Football team is opening their season against the North Side Steers at Farrington Field. The Masons are perennial District Seven contenders. Their 1940 starting lineup is pictured. Left to right in the line are Ray Coulter (4), Billy Joe Cagle (33), Dewitt Coulter (40), Curtis Robbins (23), Floyd Lewis (25), Cecil Moseley (6), and Leonard Roach (32). In the backfield are Hardy "Gordy" Brown (43), Clyde Roberts (24), C. D. Sealey (35), and Basel Smith (18).
