Description

Betty Weir stands in front of a fire engine to which is attached a large hose that is also attached to a fire hydrant. Mimi Thomas is at the fire hydrant and holds a tool to release water from the hydrant to the fire engine. There are two fire hoses extending from the fire engine. Both women are wearing Fort Worth fire department helmets. This photograph was published in the October 6, 1940 edition of the Star-Telegram.
