Seven women in view (one obscured by the front row) are wearing military skirt and jacket uniform with a light blouse and dark solid color tie, wide belt, and dark walking shoes. They're each wearing a garrison cap and carrying a wooden marching rifle. They are marching in a gravel and grass area beside a building clad in corrugated iron siding and roof. On the very far right a woman in the identical uniform is shielding her eyes from the sun and watching the marchers. Clipping: "'Forward, March! Hup, two, three, four'--and Guardette recruits step out to drill with their new wooden guns. They are, front, left to right, Corp. Margie Rea, Corp. Genise Calvert, Pvt. Bertha Raines, and Pvt.
