Dorothy Bryant, 18, was the first place winner of the Fort Worth, Texas, division of the Typical Miss Texas contest, a feature of the world premiere of the film "The Westerner," which is scheduled for local viewing September 19, 1940. Miss Bryant is standing in front of a blank wall. She is wearing a short-sleeve dress that has crochet detailing on the bodice and edge of the sleeves.
