Description
First Sergeant E. F. Henry, of the United States Marine Corps, is in his hometown of Fort Worth, Texas, visiting his aunt, Mrs. C. W. Stuart. Mrs. Stuart also hosted the sergeant's sister, Mrs. R. V. Stockton. Sergeant Henry is the son of Frank Henry. Sergeant Henry formerly attended North Side High School before enlisting for service in Fort Worth, Texas, in 1927. He was aboard the U. S. S. Astoria when it sunk and has been in the battles of the Coral Sea and Midway, participated in the occupation of Guadalcanal and was in the battle of Savo Island. He wears several service badges, including the Nicaragua campaign, a good conduct ribbon, a defense medal and an Asiatic-Pacific service badge. He is shown standing against a bare wall, wearing his military uniform.
