J. F. Skidmore, left, and J. L. Needham, who climbed 25 feet up unprotected, outside pipe to reach two injured men trapped on the roof of the Burrus Mill and Elevator after a blast wrecked part of the plant. Mr. Skidmore is wearing a hat and overalls over a long-sleeved collared shirt. Mr. Needham is wearing a short-sleeved button-down shirt.
