The Fort Worth Star-Telegram is running a feature on some of the most outstanding ranches of Texas. The Halbert Ranch is owned by Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Halbert in Sonora, Texas. The property has been is the Halbert family since 1890. Mrs. Halbert is shown making use of the spacious kitchen in her newly built home. She is spending the afternoon baking a cake from scratch. Mrs. Halbert is using a hand mixer to stir the cake batter. She is wearing a button-up blouse and a skirt.
