Description
Here is Snooks, a nine-year-old white horse and his owner, Grady Blue, manager of the S. B. Cantey Estate ranch near Palo Pinto in action. This pair has won the championship in the cutting horse contest at the Texas Cowboy Reunion at Stamford in 1940, at Mineral Wells and Southwestern Exposition and Fat Stock Show at Fort Worth in 1941 and 1942. The heifer makes a quick stop hoping to get back into the herd, but Snooks has a different idea. Note how the horse keeps an eye on the heifer. Grady Blue is mounted on the horse and is wearing a cowboy hat. There is a cattle-herd and an unidentified man on the horse in the background.
