Description
Bob Howard, 4.5 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Powell, raising an American Flag in front of their residence, 2913 Thannisch Street. A national drive is underway to encourage the display of the flag by more citizens. Small Bob is shown standing in front of the flag and grabbing the rope attached to it. He is wearing a pair of wide-legged trousers and a sailor boy shirt. Behind the flag is a large window and to the side of it, a large bush can be seen. Published in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram evening edition, May 4, 1942.
