Description
Carrying out a custom that began many years ago, Amon Carter presented Shady Oak hats to the senior football players of Texas Christian University. The players left to right are Kyle Gillespie, Frank Kring, Captain Bill Crawford, Bob Moss, Woodrow Adams, Ronnie Brumbaugh, Co-Captain Phil Roach, Nolan Sparks, and Jim Hampton. Another senior, Leonard Pugh is not pictured. The seniors are standing next to each other behind a beverage serving table. Some of them are wearing their letterman jackets. The seniors received their hats in time to wear them to the 1942 Orange Bowl in Miami Florida. T. C. U. will face the Georgia Bulldogs on January 1, 1942.
